Behind the Build: A Winter Park Backyard Turned Private Resort

Tucked into the heart of Winter Park, this backyard wasn’t just transformed, it was completely reimagined. What started as a typical outdoor space is now a fully integrated, resort-style retreat built for elevated living, effortless entertaining, and everyday luxury.

The Vision

The homeowners wanted to escape the ordinary. Their vision was a backyard that felt like a five-star resort complete with a custom pool, elegant hardscape, premium outdoor kitchen, and integrated lounge areas. The space needed to be both functional and beautiful, built for weekend entertaining and quiet weekday relaxation alike.

The Build

At the center of the design is a modern geometric pool with a sun shelf, crisp white interior, and precision-cut coping that creates a clean, timeless aesthetic. Lush tropical landscaping softens the hard lines while framing the space with privacy and texture.

We added a sleek, elevated spa that connects visually with the pool and spills gently into the water, offering both sound and movement. The entire hardscape is finished with ivory-toned pavers, which reflect light beautifully and keep the surface cool on your feet, even in the Florida heat!

To the side, we designed a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bar. It includes a built-in grill, sink, refrigeration, and generous counter space all protected under a wood-toned ceiling with recessed lighting and overhead fans. Subtle accents like pendant lights and natural materials keep the vibe grounded, warm, and welcoming.

The Details That Matter

What sets this space apart isn’t just the layout, it’s the level of finish. Every detail was considered, from the symmetry of the pool lines to the way the palm trees light up at night. Built-in audio, ambient lighting, and layered landscape elements add to the feeling of an immersive, elevated retreat.

An oversized sectional lounge area with plush cushions invites relaxation by the pool, while the surrounding hardscape allows for seamless transitions between the different zones.
